Our Purpose

Since 1978, Grace has operated under our guiding vision to love God and love people. This vision, as well as our mission to nurture the whole student in an academic environment through a biblical worldview, has remained steadfast for nearly 50 years! We have never wavered from the bedrock truth that every individual is made in the image of the Creator and possesses intrinsic value.  We believe wholeheartedly in preparing our high school students for success, no matter what path they pursue after graduation.

In this article, we will look at the first of three ways Grace High School achieves its mission: by our commitment to a biblical worldview and a distinctly Christian education. Then, in the next two articles, we will discuss our established, rigorous, college-preparatory curriculum designed to set students up for success, and how we cultivate a supportive and loving environment that fosters friendships, involvement in co-curriculars and clubs, and the building of relationships with teachers who desire to help students achieve their goals.

Biblical Worldview - A Distinctly Christian Education

When asked why they chose Grace School, our parents’ first response is often a desire for their child to be educated in a loving, Christ-centered environment. This is foundational to who we are; therefore, we are intentional in how we provide it to our families.

First and foremost, our faculty and staff are professing Christians with personal faith testimonies in Jesus Christ. Their commitment to the Gospel of Christ aligns with that of Grace School, resulting in our entire organization viewing each student as an image bearer of God, uniquely gifted with unique abilities and personalities. When a child feels valued, supported, and loved, a sense of security is built, providing the opportunity for the student to grow and thrive. Opportunities naturally abound for each student to mature in Christ and to learn how to accurately handle the Word of truth in a secular world.

The classroom at Grace is not stripped of joy and relationships.  Because we value the whole person, we encourage our teachers to get to know their students in a deeper way. Knowing they are cared for gives students the freedom to thrive and develop the confidence to ask questions, seek help when needed and to push themselves academically. Our close-knit community, where partnering with parents is a priority, encourages personal relationships and affords the opportunity for growth and well roundedness.

The Grace Commitment

At Grace School, we do not shift with the changing tides of culture; instead, we stand firm on the consistent truth of God’s Word. For nearly half a century, we have remained dedicated to providing a distinctly Christian education where students are known, valued, heard, and loved. We have not wavered in our commitment to a rigorous, college-preparatory curriculum that successfully prepares students for life after high school. And we continue to offer a wide variety of co-curricular opportunities for students to develop necessary life skills and to grow into the well-rounded, thriving adults God intends them to be.

“My favorite thing about Grace is how the teachers have a relationship with Christ. We are encouraged to have conversations about our faith and to grow toward Christlikeness before we go to college and out on our own.” -Morgan, Class of 2025

“Grace has been a big part of my life. The teachers are always helping and care for each and every student. They strive to share the gospel in every opportunity, whether it’s in athletics or in the classroom.” - Joseph, Class of 2022

“I love that Grace offers a special community with like-minded families and staff. I appreciate the variety of courses offered, and dedication to help grow and nurture my children in all aspects of life.” - Stephanie Scott, Parent

“We chose Grace because of their commitment to teaching through a Biblical worldview. My son has developed a passion to learn more about our Savior and is encouraged by his fellow classmates and teachers to trust and follow in God’s words and live them out. His teachers go over and above to find ways to connect with him and to challenge him as well. It is obvious that they truly care about him and want the best for him. But what I love most about Grace is the family environment they have created”. - Kristina Herron, Parent.

Watch for the next article in this series, where we will discuss how Grace School achieves its mission through our established, rigorous, college-preparatory curriculum designed to set students up for success. All-American Cheerleader Heads to Rome

Cheerleaders at Grace High School have opportunities beyond the sidelines throughout the year, including service projects, special events, and attendance at a summer cheer camp. During camp, cheerleaders are evaluated over several days by staff members who observe their technical skills in areas such as jumps, motions, tumbling, stunting, dance, and leadership. Selected athletes are nominated to try out for the prestigious All-American Team and, on the final day of camp, perform in front of judges. Those who earn All-American status are then invited to perform at special events around the world.
