Aerospace Engineering Students Solve Four Challenges!
Students in Aerospace Engineering researched designs of paper airplanes in order to design one that could meet four challenges with a single paper airplane: travel 30 feet, make a left turn, go under one object and over another, and finally return to travel 30 feet. Students had to use their knowledge of aircraft trim and control to modify the surfaces of the paper airplane in order to meet each of the challenges. The project brought a number of challenges to the students as they were required to critically think about the modification necessary to pass the challenges. In the end, all students were able to pass the four challenges.
