Basketball Season begins at Grace!
Grace School's Varsity Basketball season began this week led by Head Coach, Josh Merril, who comes to Grace from Shepherd Church in Porter Ranch where he serves as Sports Pastor, Club Director and Coach.
Of his team, Coach Merrill says, "Although young, this team has been putting in the work and it showed in our first game. Standouts included Owen Spencer with his record breaking 12 steals and both Riley Williams and Aaroon Zainti dropped 16 points a piece." The Lancers Jr. High Flag Football team had a successful 10-1 season, coming back and getting the 32-21 win in the championship game against Pleasant Valley, who squeaked out a narrow 14-13 win over Grace last season. The Lancers entered the game against Pleasant Valley confidently as last year's championship loss was close and they were missing a key player.
Most people will spend upwards of a third of their life at work from age 25-65. The reasons why we work matters. Do we work for wealth, power, and influence, or do we work to glorify God? Is our identity wrapped up in our job title, or is it as a follower of Christ? These were some of the questions posed by the speakers during the Grace High School Career Week.
Grace Athletics had a successful fall with strong finishes for both the Varsity Football team and the Girls' Varsity Volleyball team!
