Coach Coate Prepares Football Team for New Season

The Lancers head football coach, Tom Coate, was recently featured in a Ventura County Star article about the upcoming 2025 Citrus Coast League season. When asked about the talent of his team this year, Coach Coate told the VC Star, "Everybody is better. I'm talking about top to bottom talent, top to bottom quarterbacks, top to bottom schemes. It is going to be highly competitive. I think it's anybody's game."

To repeat a win for leauge champions again this year, the Lancers will need a team effort. Last year's success largely came from the record setting season of quarterback, Ethan LaSecla, who is now an alumni and playing football for Moorpark College. LaSecla led the state with 4.157 yards of total offense. Of this season's starting quarterback for the Lancers, Riley Williams, Coach Coate says, "He carved up the field; He was electric" in the Lancers scrimmage against Royal. Williams has earned his coach's trust and respect of his teammates with that dynamic showing as well as his offense and defensive talent displayed last season.

We hope to see a stadium full of enthusiastic and spirit fans in the Moorpark College Stadium as the Lancers make their home debut this Friday night at 7:00PM. Everybody come out and cheer on our team! GO LANCERS!

Equipped as Citizens: Fifth in the G.R.A.C.E. Series

As Christians, we are called to be "dual citizens," seeking the good of the nations and cities where God has placed us while advancing God's Kingdom on the earth. Here's a few examples of how students at Grace are equipped as citizens…

Engaged citizens have compassionate hearts and seek the good of those around them. We develop these traits in our students through partnerships with Christian ministries such as Operation Christmas Child and Children's Hunger Fund. We love how engagement with these organizations helps open our students' eyes to the needs around them and discover how they can make a difference in their community and world.
