Jesus is King!

Jesus is King!

Grace Preschool had a special guest speaker during their last chapel before Christmas.  Head of School, Matt Cooper, came to talk to the students about the true meaning of Christmas, the baby Jesus being born, and why we celebrate His birthday. When he asked the children whose birthday we celebrate at Christmas, they all shouted, "JESUS!" Everyone has a birthday, even Mr. Cooper has a birthday, but everyone all over the world does not stop to celebrate Mr. Cooper's birthday. So why do we make such a big deal of Jesus' birthday? Mr. Cooper told them that the reason is because Jesus isn't just any person; Jesus is KING! That is why we all stop at Christmas time and celebrate the birthday of Jesus. Donning a crown, Mr. Cooper explained that Jesus was a different kind of baby and being the King is why His birthday was so significant. He was not just a baby boy, He was the long expected King which the prophets had written about hundreds of years before His birth. We hope that you all have a wonderful Christmas reflecting on its true meaning and we pray the reality of who Jesus is causes your heart to rejoice and worship the one true King.
