How Influential are Grace Teachers?

"Our teachers are so much more than educators; they are shepherds who daily model the love of Christ to our children. It is vital that we recognize them because they pour their hearts into the spiritual and academic growth of our students, truly living out their calling as a blessing to the Grace family." At Grace, we know the value and importance of hiring qualified teachers, and we have the best! But our teachers are so much more than gifted and outstanding in their profession. Grace teachers are shepherds and models for godly living who understand the impact and influence they have on their students. They are dedicated to the mission statement of Grace School, which is to partner with church and family in proclaiming Christ in all we do, nurturing the whole student in an academic environment through a Biblical worldview and providing an opportunity for each one to mature in Christ and to accurately handle the word of truth in a secular world.

This past week was Teacher Appreciation Week, an opportunity to recognize and show our appreciation for all our beloved teachers.

At the Preschool, parents decorated the campus with "We Love our Teachers" signs and supplied yummy goodies each day of the week. Some of the treats included chocolate strawberries, Red's BBQ for lunch, coffee, bagels, muffins and donuts. The teachers were also treated to Panda Express and In N Out for lunch! Our Preschool parents spoiled their teachers all week long with tons of amazing gifts of appreciation. Preschool Director Dawn Munden said, "Our teachers are the heart and backbone of this organization and deserve all the love and appreciation during this special week. The amount of love and dedication they pour into their tireless work makes an eternal impact!" 

Our elementary parents, led by the PTF, honored our outstanding teachers in many fun ways, including having their doors decorated when they arrived for work on Monday, having their lunch cooked by Principal Marvin, a catered breakfast, and special lunches provided by Amici Pizza and Porcellino's. In a recent newsletter thanking the PTF and parents for all the appreciation they demonstrated for our teachers, Mr. Marvin said, "Our teachers are deeply committed to loving our students, and none of the ministry we do here at Grace Elementary would be possible without their tireless dedication to both academic excellence and the spiritual growth of your children."

Over on the Jr/Sr Campus, our teachers were immersed in love by our parents and PTF as well! Lunch was provided and served and the staff break room was filled to overflowing with gifts and treats all week. PTF Jr/Sr High President, Erin Twitchell said, "We recognize teachers during Teacher Appreciation Week because they work hard every day to help our teens learn, grow, and succeed. Their patience, kindness, and dedication makes a lasting difference in their lives and their future." Principal Marc Koster thanked the parents and PTF for all they did to show their appreciation for our teachers by saying, "This week has been a blessing to our teachers and staff. All of the Grace staff are grateful and appreciative of the scores of parents who contributed time, energy, and money to the daily lunches, gift cards, and kind notes. This week boosts us as the year winds down." 

Everyone will agree when we say, "We love our Grace teachers!" They are the best and we want to thank them for their hard work, dedication, and for giving so much of themselves to make a lasting impact in the lives of our students, Preschool through High school.
