The Results Are In...Field Day is the Best Day of the Year!

The bell rang! "Hurry, it's going to start!" The elementary students rushed out of the classrooms filled with anticipation and excitement!

IT'S FIELD DAY: The best day of the year for Grace elementary students!

Every student on campus, from K1 to 6th grade are placed on teams such as camo, neon, American, Black out, and animal. These teams compete for points in games like dodge ball, sponge relay, battle ship, capture the flag, move the hoop, clean your room, and potato sack relay all culminating in the final competition of tug-of-war and a 6th grade obstacle course!

Needless to say, the competition was on and there were splashes of water flying through the air and plenty of laughter to go around. But this year presented a very special "water" opportunity when one of our Grace dads, a local firefighter, brought his fire truck over to the campus and sprayed the kids as they ran through the field during the obstacle course. Principal Dustin Marvin was also given the opportunity to hose down the kids, spraying them as they ran by him. This was a memorable treat for sure!

All the students enjoyed a half time popsicle break and at the end, the winning team was announced and awarded with bragging rights and a gold medal. The winning teacher receives a trophy to proudly display until the following year.

This year's Field Day will be hard to top, but each year the students rate it as the best day of the year! So until next year...

This is especially important during the critical transition of the preteens and early teen years.  For that reason, we see sixth grade as a special opportunity to preserve the innocence of childhood as well as a time to prepare our students for the changes ahead.

No Such Thing as a Neutral Worldview

Have you ever considered that every school and every teacher instructs from a particular perspective? There is no such thing as a completely neutral worldview. Every educational institution teaches a foundational set of values and beliefs that shape how students understand the world. At Grace, we intentionally teach from a biblical worldview. Our goal is to guide students through the lens of Scripture, helping them understand God’s truth across every area of learning.
