Why Choose Grace
For over forty years, Grace School has provided a distinctly Christian education to students from Preschool through 12th grade on three different campuses in the heart of Simi Valley, California. When Grace parents are asked why they chose Grace, amongst their first response is a desire for their student to be educated in a loving, Christian environment.
Instructors at Grace are all mature followers of Jesus Christ, who desire to share their faith as they educate their students with a Biblical Worldview.
Students at Grace are free to safely explore their spiritual growth and understanding. Largely ignored in the field of education today, an individual’s spiritual growth is vital to their future well-being and happiness. Instructors at Grace are all mature followers of Jesus Christ, who desire to share their faith as they educate their students. At Grace we are committed to an environment of patient love and understanding which encourages students to develop spiritually.
Our goal is to expand the minds of young people by combining proven teaching methodologies along with new research based modalities to academically prepare the next generation.
Grace School accepts no federal or state funding, and is therefore free to choose the best ways to teach and which curriculum to use. Our goal is to expand the minds of young people by combining proven teaching methodologies along with new research based modalities to academically prepare the next generation. The academic classroom at Grace is not stripped of joy and relationships like in so many other schools. We encourage our teachers to pray, interact, and get to know their students with the belief in the importance of instructing the whole person. Knowing they are cared for gives students the freedom to thrive and develop the confidence to push themselves academically. At Grace, we relish in the ability to partner with families in a supportive, loving environment that engenders real relationships.
At Grace, we understand that each student is valuable and uniquely gifted by their creator with talents, skills and interests. With this belief, we place a high priority on teaching to the whole student. One way we do that is to provide a wide array of Co-Curricular opportunities for students to explore, whether on the stage, the field, or other creative avenues. We encourage all our students to explore new activities and discover areas of interests that may not have yet been revealed. Co-Curriculars are not viewed as "extra" at Grace, but rather, are an integral part of teaching to the whole student. These character building opportunites help them further develop as a whole person and are what our alumni often refer to as the most valuable aspects of their years at Grace.
Welcome to Grace!
We chose Grace because of their commitment to teaching through a Biblical worldview. My son has developed a passion to learn more about our Savior and is encouraged by his fellow classmates and teachers to trust and follow in God's words and to live them out. Academically, the school has helped my son cultivate a love for reading. His teachers go over and above to find ways to connect with him and to challange him as well. It is obvious that they truly care about him and want the best for him. But what I love most about Grace is the family environment they have created. I would tell a parent who is considering Grace that it will be the best choice you could ever make for your child and your family. - Kristina Herron
With my husband and I both being in the education field, finding the right preschool for our son was important. We were looking for a place that was going to allow him to be inquisitive and adventurous while teaching him the skills to be a well rounded individual. With Grace School, we found much more! He has grown leaps and bounds in the past year, not only academically but socially and spiritually.
The teachers have created a place for them to grow, learn, and explore the world around them. Their play-based curriculum fit the needs of our son perfectly. We could not be happier with our choice. - Jenn Strickler
