Senior High Sports
Grace has a unique position due to its combination of size, location within the TCAA, and distinctly Christian coaching staff. Athletics is a microcosm of life. Not all of our student-athletes will turn pro, but 100% of them will turn into an adult. Through our programs, students will learn teamwork, accountability, honor, and how to support one another during wins, losses and injuries. How do we win humbly, lose graciously, and face adversity in a God-honoring way? We want to pursue winning at Grace, but we primarily want to instill in our student-athletes that ultimate success comes through glorifying God through our behavior, attitude, and work ethic both on and off the field.
Within Grace 's athletic programs, we know that there are high level student-athletes who are going to receive college scholarships for their abilities. We also know that there are student-athletes who simply wish to participate in sports as an addition to their high school experience. With the smaller size of Grace school, a student who has never played a sport before has an opportunity to participate in a variety of sports during their high school career, learning under our experienced coaching staff. It is our unique ability to offer highly competitive athletics, combined with the ability for our students to join multiple sports teams, which sets Grace apart from most schools.
Our athletic programs compete in the CIF Southern Section under the Tri-County Athletic Association (TCAA). Grace’s history in the TCAA has provided our athletes with a high level of competition and exposure within Ventura County. Grace sports primarily compete within the Tri-Valley League and Frontier League. Boys’ Lacrosse competes separately in the Channel League, and 11-man Football competes in the Citrus Coast League. To date, Grace has won a total of 53 League Championships, 14 CIF-SS Championships, 11 CIF-SS Runner-Up titles, 1 CIF State Runner-Up title, 1 So-Cal Regional Championship, and 3 So-Cal Regional Runner-Up titles.
