We love to see our students experiencing and loving music.  Our programs change from year-to-year.  Here are some of the programs we have offered.

Choir
Vocal music at Grace embraces the idea that every student has a unique voice. In our choirs, we teach strong techniques which is the foundation for the exploration of many different styles of vocal music. Grace regularly represents our community by sharing music in many different settings. Our passion for singing is unmistakable in the faces of our students as they learn the art of singing and performance. Courses offered: Junior High Choir, Senior High Choir

Instrumental
The instrumental program at Grace offers something for everyone. Students learn the skills needed to play a wide variety of music at every level of the program. Our Middle School Beginning Band, Advanced Band, and Jazz Band groups also concertize and attend festivals as well as perform throughout the area. While all band students are encouraged to participate in ensembles, they are also challenged to develop their skills at a very high level by playing in small groups. Jazz Ensemble is a high school elective. All groups hold performances throughout the year and also perform at separate instrumental concerts in the community. You are guaranteed to catch the rhythm in this program. Courses Offered: Junior High Beginning Instruments, Junior High Band, Jazz Band, HS Jazz Ensemble

Worship
Grace believes that worship is one of the most important parts of the music in our student body. From pre-school through high school we believe that the Focus is first on Christ. We teach our students to build one another up and to put the spotlight on Jesus. We have chapel bands from elementary school through high school who are active in leading worship for our Grace student body.

At Grace Elementary, we feel that it is very important to expose and teach our students about music and art starting at a young age. Not only is it a part of our co-curricular schedule but we also offer various extra opportunities for students to engage in the arts. Whether it be through our worship band, choir, or band they can learn, grow and practically use their gifts, talents, and abilities. We welcome students who have already practiced their abilities as well as students who are just wanting to learn and explore for the first time.

Music Class
Every student has weekly music pull-out class. During this class students from the Kindergarten, the level is taught music theory, the use of rhythmic instruments, and choreography as a part of the music curriculum. The culmination of the music curriculum is a special Christmas concert in December and our "Evening on the Green" concert in the spring.

Instrumental Band
A beginning instrument class is offered as a pull-out class for any 6th-grade student interested in learning how to play a woodwind, brass, or percussion instrument for the first time. The most common wind instruments are the flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, and trombone. In this class, students will be taught the technique of playing their chosen instrument, reading music, music history, music appreciation, and how their instrument is used in larger ensembles like marching bands, concert bands, jazz bands, and symphonic orchestras. No prior music experience is required for this class.
