FINANCIAL AID

Any student who has applied to Grace Elementary or Junior/Senior High School may be considered for Financial Aid based upon the family demonstrated financial need, observable family fit with the mission of Grace School, and evaluation of the family’s ability to take on the associated financial responsibilities of Christian education at this time.  Financial Aid is not available for Preschool or International students.

Grace uses a third party company, Blackbaud, to process and verify financial aid applications. When applying you will be asked to provide:

• Employer issued copies of W-2 Wage and Tax statements
• Full scans of every page of your most recent Federal 1040
• Copies of all supporting tax schedules, if applicable
• State taxes

The requested information is necessary to objectively assess your level of financial need and is required for consideration of Financial Aid. Within this process, you will also be asked a handful of questions related to your family’s fit at Grace and be afforded the opportunity to share any other information you believe to be relevant to your student’s application.

Financial Aid will only be considered for students who are in good standing both on campus and with reference to their family financial account.  Failures to be in good standing is grounds for termination of Financial Aid.

Financial aid applications open in March for the coming school year and will close when available funds have been dispersed, typically around May or June. We recommend applying early to avoid missing the application window.

Blackbaud charges a $45 processing fee per family ($55 if you own your own business) which will be required at the time you submit your application. This charge is billed and processed by Blackbaud directly.  Grace does not charge any additional fees for Financial Aid beyond what is required by Blackbaud.

Grace offers a maximum of 50% of tuition costs per student which may be applied towards tuition costs, but excludes any other fees or charges.

The amount of Financial Aid awarded will be based on the availability of funds, your family’s individual financial situation, and our assessment of your fit at Grace and ability to further our mission.  Our desire is to utilize our financial resources to further assist those families who truly need it and to maximize our opportunities to come alongside your family and assist you in navigating the financial sacrifices required to afford Christian education.

Financial Aid is not an entitlement but a gift and will be reviewed annually. Before applying, please consider if your family is able to afford the cost of tuition at this time and willing to make the necessary sacrifices to prioritize your student’s education in the coming year.  We recognize the significance of this investment and do not want to unwisely burden your family financially and saddle you with a purchase you truly can’t afford.

Yes, we encourage you to apply!  Financial Aid supersedes all other tuition discounts.  Multi-student discounts cannot be used in conjunction with Financial Aid.

After your financial aid application has been completed, it will be reviewed by the Financial Aid Committee along with any other information relevant to your request. You will be notified of the results as soon as possible, typically within 3-4 weeks.

Financial aid offers are contingent upon receiving an offer of placement at the school.

No, Grace offers Financial Aid on an annual basis for a specific school year.  The amount of available funds, number of applicants, and individual family situations vary from year to year and necessarily require annual resubmission of information for review and evaluation.

Annual Financial Aid awards are scheduled to automatically decrease as it is our desire to assist you in taking the necessary steps to afford the Christian education you desire for your student.  In most cases, our Financial Aid offer will be less in each subsequent year, but we’d be happy to sit down with you to review your financial situation and come alongside you as you budget to be less dependent on financial aid in the future.  Additionally, the amount of Financial Aid available varies from year to year and may have impacted your Financial Aid offer.
