Excelling Beyond Grace; Catching up with Kai!
Grace alumnus Kai Terentieff (2022) pulled off a feat rarely seen on the collegiate soccer field. Kai, a sophomore at the Master’s University, scored a hat trick to lift his Mustangs to a 4-0 win over Fresno Pacific (NCAA Division 2) in their season-opener. Head Coach Jim Rickard was thrilled with his team’s performance, but when asked about Kai he said, “Super excited first and foremost for Kai. That hat trick was the first we’ve had around here in a while.” That hat trick and win over a ranked NCAA division 2 opponent earned Kai the Golden State Athletic Conference player of the week award last week and cemented his presence on the team as a go-to player.
Kai was a standout starter for the Grace Lancer’s soccer team throughout his junior and senior year and led his senior team to a runner-up finish in the Division 5 CIF Southern Section Finals against Geffen Academy of UCLA.
